Dr.-Ing. Stefan Rinck, CEO: “We were able to achieve success last year, particularly with our vacuum coating systems (sputtering systems). Several coating systems were sold for use in the solar industry. The development of the climate, the CO2 burden as well as the strong increase of energy costs force countries to invest in alternative energy. In the USA, India and also in Europe, there are numerous political initiatives for the establishment of local manufacturing facilities for solar cells and modules. Our Solar segment will therefore develop positively overall.”
Dr. Rinck continues, “The sale of vacuum coating machines for semiconductor technology was important for SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES. Here, our company is now the market leader of coating machines for magnetic sensors. We also have new projects for the work areas of medical technology and decorative coatings. Overall, we are therefore positive about the future.”
Assuming that SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES receives the outstanding test certificates as expected, the company plans for the year 2023 further increasing sales and improved earnings ratios compared with the past business year 2022. In addition to incoming orders for the Solar segment, the company expects to conclude contracts in particular in the medical technology area of the Life Science segment as well as production equipment in the Semiconductor segment.
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES has already been working intensively on the introduction of its processes and equipment into new market areas for several years. The focus is on the vacuum coating machines for the refinement of surfaces as well as on the various wet-chemical cleaning machines for applications.
